Puppy 101 gives you and your new best friend a solid training foundation that will last a life time.
- What You Need To Bring:
-A big bag of your puppy’s kibble or another low calorie, high value reward (such as boiled
chicken)
-I recommend bringing a food pouch for ease of training
-A 6 foot flat leash (please no flexi leads!)
-A flat collar or harness (I recommend most puppies on harnesses)
-Your puppy’s bed or a mat
- What Will We Be Working On?
A brief list of what we will cover in this 6 week course:
-Teach your puppy their name
-Manners Foundations (sit, down, come, walk on leash)
-Settle on bed/mat
-Focus/Attention
-Leave it/Drop it
-House Training/Crate Training
-Chewing
-Play Biting
*We will also be doing some structured, supervised puppy play to socialize your pups.
Classes will run 45 minutes. The first 15 minutes will be utilized to work and train new behaviors,
when your puppy is most focused and ready to learn. We will have multiple breaks for potty
during class. Puppy playtime will be about 10 minutes long and will be structured with many
intermittent breaks. The last 5 minutes are reserved for answering questions you may have
about your puppy.
This class is offered to puppies 8wks - 5mos. If your puppy is over 5mos of age, please enroll in
our Adult Basic Manners course.
Please note: Class sizes are limited to 5 pups to maximize one on one training!
